North Rhine-Westphalia: Blitzer catches fire: shortly before, motorcycles raced past

Niederkrüchten (dpa / lnw) - A flash unit in the Viersen district caught fire - presumably not due to a technical defect. The police announced this on Monday. The compact device, which was supposed to transfer Raser, caught fire in the night from Saturday to Sunday and was damaged. Suspiciously, according to initial findings, two motorcycles had raced through Niederkrüchten-Dam at high speed shortly before. Investigators are now hoping for clues about the two drivers.
