North Rhine-Westphalia: blockage: freight train wagons derailed near Dormagen

Dormagen (dpa / lnw) - After a freight train accident in Dormagen, the railway line towards Cologne will probably remain closed until Friday. The regional lines RE 6 and 7 and the S-Bahn line 11 are affected, said a spokesman for Deutsche Bahn on Thursday. A replacement bus service has been set up. In the morning, three wagons of a freight train derailed in Dormagen for reasons that are still unclear. These would now have to be lifted back onto the rails with a special crane requested from Fulda, said the spokesman. During the recovery, the route may also be closed in the opposite direction.
