Wuppertal (dpa / lnw) - A car that caught fire caused significant traffic problems during rush hour on the Autobahn 46 from Düsseldorf in the direction of Wuppertal on Wednesday afternoon. Even after the full closure between the Haan-Ost and Wuppertal-Cronenberg junctions was lifted at around 6:30 p.m., the around ten-kilometer traffic jam only slowly cleared, said a police spokesman.
Motorists in the Oberbergisches Land needed a lot of patience. A vehicle caught fire due to a technical defect and blocked the right lane for a long time before the fire was extinguished and the car removed. Nobody got hurt.
