North Rhine-Westphalia: Burning truck on the A1: lane closure in the direction of Dortmund

Osnabrück/Lengerich (dpa/lnw) - A burning truck caused a traffic jam on Autobahn 1 between the Lotte/Osnabrück junction and the Lengerich junction on Wednesday afternoon. The truck heading towards Dortmund caught fire. The fire brigade went out to extinguish the fire, the police said. The truck driver was not injured. According to the WDR, the traffic is backed up for several kilometers due to the extinguishing work. According to the police, the A1 is expected to remain closed until the early afternoon.
