North Rhine-Westphalia: Care: More employees in homes and outpatient services

Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The number of employees in nursing homes and outpatient care services in North Rhine-Westphalia has increased from 2019 to 2021. The number of employees in the homes rose by 2 percent to around 185,600, the State Statistical Office announced on Wednesday in Düsseldorf. In the case of nursing services, the number of employees even rose by 6.6 percent to over 97,200. In total, there were almost 283,000 employees at the end of 2021. That was 3.5 percent more than two years earlier. Many work part-time.
