Cologne (dpa / lnw) - A 15-year-old student who was hit by a freight train on a level crossing in Cologne on Wednesday is still in intensive care. Photos and traces of the scene of the accident are evaluated, as a police spokesman reported on Thursday. According to several witnesses, the boy is said to have wound his way through a barricade at the crossing on his bicycle and been hit by the train. Witnesses had reported that the traffic light at the freight crossing showed red and that there was also an acoustic signal. The 15-year-old himself could not be heard.
