In the evening, the local showers subside and it remains largely free of precipitation, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Saturday in Essen. 8 to 12 degrees are expected, 6 degrees at higher altitudes.

On the night of Christmas Day, the DWD expected heavy cloud cover and only a few loosenings for most places in North Rhine-Westphalia: “Initially only in places, in the second half of the night there was more rain from the south-west,” was the forecast. Fog and stronger gusts are also possible locally on Sunday.
