Paderborn (dpa / lnw) - A 45-year-old cyclist was critically injured in an accident in Paderborn late Sunday evening. According to initial findings, a motorcycle had hit the cyclist from behind or from the side, the police said on Monday. The 45-year-old fell and was taken to hospital with serious head and chest injuries.
According to witnesses, a motorcyclist was initially at the scene of the accident. However, he stated that he had nothing to do with the accident and drove away before the police arrived. The motorcyclist is said to be between 30 and 35 years old and is wearing a white jacket. His motorcycle is probably red. Police are looking for the driver and other witnesses.
