Cologne (dpa / lnw) - 1. FC Köln was able to win against the third division team SV Meppen in preparation for the next part of the season in the Bundesliga. In their last friendly before the Christmas break, the Rhinelanders defeated the guests from Emsland 1-0 (1-0) with a goal from Sargis Adamyan (15th minute) in Cologne on Wednesday.
Coach Steffen Baumgart's team is scheduled to start training again on January 2nd and then have almost three weeks to prepare for the next league game on January 21st against Werder Bremen (6:30 p.m.).
