Cologne (dpa/lnw) - The Kölner Haie have extended the contract with Brady Austin beyond the season in the German Ice Hockey League. The club announced this on Wednesday. "With his presence and calmness, Brady is a constant in our defence. In addition, he has impeccable character, fits in perfectly with the Kölner Haie and is a role model for our young defenders," said head coach Uwe Krupp about the Canadian defender.
Austin has played for the Rhinelanders since the start of the season and has recorded five goals and ten assists in 35 games. With an average of over 21 minutes of ice time per game, the 29-year-old completed the second most minutes of all Haie field players this season.
