The number of crimes related to the fight against climate change has fallen significantly from 92 in 2019 and 69 in 2020 to 30 last year. So far this year, only 6 crimes have been registered in this area.
The constitutional protection of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia also had no indications that the climate movement had become radicalized. Neither Fridays for Future nor the last generation would be observed by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution in NRW.
