Münster (dpa / lnw) - During a check on Autobahn 1 near Münster, customs officials discovered a live firearm and suitable ammunition in a traveller's luggage. The main customs office in Münster announced on Friday that the van driving in the direction of Bremen had been checked for violations of the law to combat undeclared work. A young man did not show any identification. That's why they took a closer look at his luggage and discovered the weapon that had been secured. The 23-year-old was arrested. According to the information, his two companions were allowed to continue their journey. The officers had the situation under control at all times. There was no danger to bystanders.
