North Rhine-Westphalia: cyclist dies after an accident with a turning truck

Hagen (dpa / lnw) - A cyclist was run over by a turning truck in Hagen and fatally injured. The 35-year-old truck driver turned right into a street on Tuesday and caught the man on his bike, the police said on Wednesday. The cyclist was taken to the hospital and died there a few hours later. The identity of the accident victim was still unclear to the police. Because of the truck driver's limited view, turning accidents occur again and again, in which cyclists are seriously injured or die.
