North Rhine-Westphalia: Cyclist is attacked by two masked people

Recklinghausen (dpa / lnw) - A cyclist was attacked by two masked men in Recklinghausen. The 39-year-old was walking near Friedrich-Ebert-Strasse on Wednesday afternoon when two men, whose faces were covered with a scarf up to their noses, stood in their way. One of them asked the woman at knifepoint to get off her bike, police said in the evening. The other reportedly took a backpack and a bag out of the bike trailer. It contained personal papers, cash and debit cards, among other things. Then the robbers disappeared into an adjacent bush. The police are asking for information about the perpetrators.
