North Rhine-Westphalia: Dealer sells drugs via messenger service

Münster (dpa / lnw) - A 31-year-old drug dealer offered and sold narcotics on a large scale in Münster via a messenger service. After extensive investigations, the man was tracked down because he had offered different drugs from "Eddy's Party-Apotheke" in the Netherlands in Münster, the police said on Thursday.

The types and prices of the drugs were stored in the status of the suspect in the messenger service. The telephone number used for the Internet service also helped with the clarification. At the request of the public prosecutor, the district court of Münster issued an arrest warrant against the 31-year-old, who is already in custody.

During the investigation, officials were able to prove to the Dutchman that he had sold ten grams of cocaine on August 10 and 100 grams of cocaine on August 18 for 6,800 euros in Gronau. After the Aug. 18 deal, officials arrested the suspect. They seized the cash from the sale. They also found a forbidden switchblade in his pockets. The law provides for a prison sentence of no less than five years for trafficking in weapons, it said.
