Bielefeld (dpa / lnw) - After uploading a fake vaccination card, a hospital in Bielefeld fired a doctor. A hearing before the labor court in Bielefeld was unsuccessful on Tuesday, as court director Joachim Klevemann announced after the meeting. The resident did not appear in person for the appointment. According to Klevemann, her lawyer saw no chance of a compromise. In his opinion, the works council had been incorrectly consulted on the dismissal. The court will now hear again on October 6 as part of a chamber meeting.
The hospital had terminated the doctor, who was training in the field of orthopedics and trauma surgery, without notice. The reason was a fake vaccination card uploaded on November 26, 2021. At that time, the 3G rule applied. As a result, the woman no longer had to submit a corona test every day, but only three times a week. The health department informed the hospital in mid-May 2022 that the doctor was being investigated on suspicion of forgery.
The doctor admitted the allegation to the employer and cited great social pressure as the motive. The works council then expressly agreed to the extraordinary termination.
In March 2022, the labor court in Bielefeld passed a judgment in a comparable case and declared an extraordinary dismissal after the submission of a fake vaccination card to be legal.
