North Rhine-Westphalia: Driver seriously injured after a head-on collision with a truck

Snakes (dpa / lnw) - When his car collided head-on with a truck, a 46-year-old driver was seriously injured near snakes. The man got into oncoming traffic on Wednesday on the B1 in the Lippe district for initially unknown reasons and collided with the oncoming truck, the police said in the evening. He was trapped in his vehicle by the impact, then freed by firefighters and taken to a hospital. The 51-year-old truck driver was reportedly unharmed. The B1 had to be completely blocked at the accident site for several hours.
