Düsseldorf / Heinsberg (dpa / lnw) - A Catholic pastor who was caught with hashish and cell phones in kebabs in the Heinsberg prison was previously under suspicion. As can be seen from a confidential report to the state parliament, there was an indication in September 2021 that the man was selling cell phones to prisoners. You couldn't prove it to the pastor - he stayed on duty. The "Bild" newspaper had previously reported.
The diocese of Aachen - which, according to the report, had already been informed of the initial suspicion last year - irrevocably released the pastor in July. The investigation against the man is still ongoing. According to the paper for the committee, there was a raid on him and numerous JVA employees, prisoners and diocese employees have already been interrogated.
