North Rhine-Westphalia: Drunk drives in front of the curb and wants to change tires

Hamm (dpa / lnw) - A drunk driver tried in vain to change his previously burst front tire after several collisions with different curbs. The police did not support him in this project on Friday evening, she said on Monday. Instead, a breath alcohol test was carried out on the 56-year-old, which showed more than 2.0 per thousand.

Witnesses had previously seen how the obviously drunk man drove his car with a burst front tire in snaking lines against various curbs.

A 40-year-old cyclist narrowly avoided a collision with the car thanks to a good reaction. Eventually, the driver ended his drunk driving and was about to change the tire. But that didn't happen anymore. Officials took the 56-year-old to the station for a blood test.

The man from Hamm was reported as a traffic hazard and his driver's license was confiscated.
