Haan (dpa / lnw) - A 36-year-old was seriously injured in an accident with an e-scooter in Haan (Mettmann district). As the police announced, the rescue workers feared life-threatening injuries to the man who was no longer responsive. He was then flown to a clinic by helicopter. A danger to life could be ruled out there in the meantime.

A driver noticed the bleeding man lying on the sidewalk next to an e-scooter on Saturday morning. She stopped and gave first aid along with other passers-by. Since there were no witnesses to the accident and the man from Hilden could not be contacted, he could not be questioned and therefore the exact course of the accident could not be traced, according to the police. Accordingly, he was probably on the sidewalk with the scooter and fell for an unknown reason. The injured person was admitted to the hospital as an inpatient.
