North Rhine-Westphalia: End of an era: Viktoria Cologne's President Pütz resigns

Cologne (dpa / lnw) - Third division soccer team Viktoria Köln has to do without its long-time president Günter Pütz earlier than expected. After more than ten years at the helm of the club, the 71-year-old resigned a year earlier than planned for health reasons. This was announced by the Cologne club on Wednesday. "I was allowed to be a small part of a great success story. I would now like to accompany Viktoria privately and as a friend," explained Pütz.
