Detmold (dpa / lnw) - A man died in Detmold's Meschesee. Early on Tuesday evening, walkers noticed a person who was apparently in an emergency, as the fire department announced on Wednesday. They dialed 911. In addition, a passer-by attempted a rescue and jumped into the water. But he couldn't find the person.
Extensive search measures were immediately initiated by the fire brigade and police on the water and on the shore. The man was found floating lifeless in the water by divers and brought ashore.
