Essen (dpa / lnw) - During a routine check, federal police officers discovered child pornographic material in Essen's main train station. During the check, the officials noticed a 24-year-old who was particularly nervous, a police spokeswoman reported on Sunday.
A check showed that he had already been noticed for sex offenses against minors. The man admitted that he is currently being investigated for possession of child pornography.
When the officers asked him whether there was any other criminal content on his smartphone, he admitted this and agreed to a voluntary inspection of the cell phone. The officials not only came across criminal content, but also chat histories that were being conducted with female minors. The phone was confiscated as evidence. The man received another criminal complaint.
