Bonn (dpa/lnw) - The Villa Hammerschmidt opens its doors to the public on June 18th. At an open day, Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier allows a glimpse behind the scenes of his official residence in Bonn.
The Office of the Federal President announced that there would be discussions, music and hands-on activities in the park of the villa and in the adjacent Palais Schaumburg. Visitors can find out about the work of the Federal President, and federal authorities as well as German and international organizations present their work. Steinmeier and his wife Elke Büdenbender welcome the guests from the main stage in the afternoon.
Unlike in previous years, this time visitors need a ticket for entry in order to avoid waiting times as much as possible. The free tickets are now available online (www.tdot-bonn.de).
