North Rhine-Westphalia: Finder brings wallet with more than 600 euros to the police

Mönchengladbach (dpa / lnw) - A 69-year-old discovered a wallet with more than 600 euros at a park in Mönchengladbach and proved to be an honest finder. After his discovery, the man gave the wallet to the police on Thursday, the officials said on Friday. However, the content initially gave no clues as to the identity of the owner. But a little later, a man called the authorities and reported the loss of his wallet. Since he was able to talk about his loss with many details, he was quickly identified as the rightful owner. As the police announced, the man was happy about the find and "that there are still honest people like the 69-year-old finder".
