Kleve (dpa / lnw) - The fire in a garbage container destroyed several parts of a primary school in Kleve. The fire spread to a roof truss during the night on Saturday and spread to the roof area, the fire brigade said. The affected parts of the building are a side wing with classrooms, a break room and offices, said a police spokesman. According to the fire brigade, the roof trusses were destroyed.
However, the emergency services could have prevented the flames from spreading to the main building and the gym. Nobody was injured in the fire. The cause of the fire is still unclear, the police spokesman said. A week earlier, according to the fire brigade at the elementary school, a garbage container with paper had burned.
