North Rhine-Westphalia: Fired warehouse in Essen extinguished

Essen (dpa / lnw) - On the premises of a waste disposal company in Essen, the fire brigade extinguished a fire early Tuesday morning. Parts of an approximately 1000 square meter warehouse with mixed waste caught fire on Monday evening, as a fire department spokesman said in the evening. Emergency services pulled the garbage apart and extinguished it. Pictures published by the "Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung" ("WAZ") showed a huge cloud of smoke over the area.

According to the spokesman on Tuesday morning, the hall burned out completely. There were no injuries. An employee managed to drive an excavator out of the hall "at the last minute".
