Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - A five-year-old boy was hit by a van in Düsseldorf and seriously injured. The child was hit by the vehicle while crossing a street, police said on Wednesday.
According to previous investigations, the boy emerged from between parked cars on Tuesday and ran into the street. According to the police, he probably wanted to follow his mother, who had just crossed the street with another child. The 21-year-old driver still braked, but still hit the boy with the van. After the accident, an ambulance took the boy to a hospital, according to the police there was no danger to life. The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
