North Rhine-Westphalia: Free testing no longer necessary after corona infection in NRW

Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - In North Rhine-Westphalia, too, the test and isolation requirements after a corona infection have been relaxed since Wednesday. Free testing is no longer necessary. However, the Ministry of Health recommends reducing contact with people in the event of an infection and testing yourself voluntarily.

If the self-test is positive, you are still obliged to have a rapid test or PCR test done at an official test center or by a doctor. These cost nothing for infected people. No free control test can be carried out using the citizen test. Special regulations apply to employees in medical facilities: they are not allowed to work until a negative test result is available.

In Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Schleswig-Holstein, the obligation to isolate has already been completely lifted. The state of Lower Saxony has extended it until the end of January 2023.
