North Rhine-Westphalia: Freezing temperatures at the weekend: occasional smoothness

Essen (dpa / lnw) - The weekend weather in North Rhine-Westphalia remains cold with temperatures around zero degrees. In places, the German Weather Service (DWD) also warns of ice. On Saturday and Sunday there will probably be mostly no precipitation. However, it will probably remain cloudy to overcast. The temperatures will reach a maximum of three degrees on Saturday and four on Sunday. In the mountains and in the Weserbergland, permafrost is to be expected due to temperatures between zero and minus three degrees. At night it can even get as cold as minus six degrees in the mountains.

In the new week, according to the DWD, it will continue to be similarly cold and sometimes even smooth. The temperatures move at night and on Monday between minus three and plus four degrees.
