Minden (dpa / lnw) - Handball Bundesliga club GWD Minden has signed Mathias Bitsch. As the East Westphalians announced on Saturday, the 26-year-old Dane signed a two-year contract. He should close the gap in the right backcourt after the departures of Christian Zeitz and Christoph Reißky. Bitsch has played for Danish first division club Skanderborg Arhus Handbold for the past three years and has scored 110 goals this season. "With Mathias we get a dangerous half-attacker who has been a top performer in his club in Denmark in recent years," commented GWD trainer Frank Carstens.
