Essen (dpa/lnw) - On Thursday, people in North Rhine-Westphalia will have to prepare for thunderstorms, heavy rain, hail and gusts of wind. The sun will shine a lot at the weekend, according to the German Weather Service (DWD).
Although the morning in NRW on Thursday will be mainly sunny, heavy thunderstorms, heavy rain, hail and occasional heavy gusts of wind are to be expected in the afternoon and especially in the evening. The maximum values are between 27 and 31 degrees. Showers and sometimes heavy thunderstorms are also possible on Friday night, it cools down to 11 degrees.
Friday will be calmer and cloudier, in the east of NRW there may be the last rain showers at the beginning of the day. In the second half of the day the sun comes out, there are only isolated, short showers. The maximum temperatures are between 20 and 23 degrees.
On Saturday, people in NRW can look forward to lots of sunshine, with no precipitation at maximum values between 23 and 27 degrees.
