North Rhine-Westphalia: Hot air balloon has to make an emergency landing near Hattingen

Hattingen (dpa / lnw) - A hot air balloon with 15 people on board made an emergency landing near Hattingen near Wuppertal. The passengers attracted the attention of passers-by by calling for help when landing, as the fire brigade announced. When the rescue workers arrived at the incident on Sunday evening, the balloon had already landed in the courtyard of a business park. Helpers on the ground had supported the safe landing with lines from the balloon, whereby one helper slightly injured her hand. There was initially no information as to why the emergency landing had become necessary.
