North Rhine-Westphalia: included in construction work: police freed pigeon chicks

Bonn (dpa / lnw) - In Bonn's main train station, the police freed several small pigeon chicks from an awkward situation. The birds were probably locked under one roof on the platform after construction work, the federal police said on Tuesday. Several boards therefore closed the roof on the platform so that the young animals could not escape. After a man gave the police the tip on Sunday, the emergency services then removed parts of the roof structure on Monday. The liberation action was accompanied by animal rights activists. It was not known how long the animals were stuck.
