North Rhine-Westphalia: Leverkusen denies friendly at the Glasgow Rangers

Leverkusen (dpa / lnw) - Bundesliga soccer club Bayer Leverkusen will play a test match against Glasgow Rangers in the winter preparations. The game against the Scottish record champions will take place on December 10 in Scotland (2 p.m. CEST), Leverkusen announced on Tuesday. But it's not the only friendly game played by the Werkself during the World Cup break. On November 16 (local time), Bayer will be playing a game at the St. Louis City Soccer Club in the USA. This game is part of a five-day trip by the club to the USA from 13th to 18th November. Then the professionals of coach Xabi Alonso have a break of almost two weeks.

They only train together again in Leverkusen from December 1st to 18th, before the players have a few more days off over Christmas. The final preparation phase for the remaining 19 Bundesliga games beginning at the end of January begins on January 2nd. Leverkusen have to play Borussia Mönchengladbach in the league on January 22 (5:30 p.m.).
