Essen (dpa / lnw) - After the start of autumn, people in North Rhine-Westphalia have to prepare for a rainy week. On Monday, rain will come from the north-west, which will spread throughout NRW over the course of the day, according to the German Weather Service (DWD). At times, strong to stormy gusts can occur in the mountains and in the north-west. The maximum temperatures are 12 to 14 degrees, in the highlands 8 to 11 degrees.

Tuesday night will remain cloudy and rainy, temperatures will drop to 7 to 9 degrees. Tuesday will also be very cloudy with recurring showers and some brief thunderstorms. The maximum temperatures drop to 10 to 13 degrees compared to the previous day. According to the DWD, this trend will continue on Wednesday and Thursday.
