Herne (dpa / lnw) - A 30-year-old man is in prison after allegedly fatally injuring his partner with a knife. A magistrate ordered the man into custody, the police said on Monday. The woman underwent emergency surgery after the attack on Friday night and, according to police, was then in a stable condition.
According to the investigators, the couple does not live permanently in Germany and lived in a hotel room in Herne at the time of the crime. The 30-year-old initially fled, but the police were able to arrest him shortly afterwards.
