Kleve (dpa / lnw) - A man was hit by a small van while checking in a car in Kleve and was critically injured. The 72-year-old wanted to guide a relative with his car while he was backing out of a driveway, the police said on Monday. The 72-year-old backed onto the street and was hit by a pickup truck. The man was thrown against a parked car and suffered life-threatening injuries. He came to a special clinic.
The 30-year-old driver of the van was unharmed in the accident on Sunday, police said. The scene of the accident remained closed for the time being. The police were looking for witnesses.
