Essen (dpa / lnw) - After an attack with a knife on a man, a homicide commission in Essen is investigating an attempted homicide against a 37-year-old. According to the police on Monday, he is said to have fatally injured the 45-year-old man with several knife wounds in his upper body. Accordingly, the victim was taken to the hospital after the crime on Sunday. There is no longer an acute danger to life, it said.
The two men are said to have been involved in a brawl in front of the Essen town hall. Witnesses said a knife was also used. The officials were finally able to arrest the alleged perpetrator at Essen Central Station, as the authority announced. He was due to be brought before the magistrate on Monday.
