North Rhine-Westphalia: Man has to give his driver's license and is caught driving

Hagen (dpa / lnw) - The police caught a 37-year-old driving a car again just one day after he had handed in his driver's license. The driver's license office had previously issued a driving ban to Hagen, the police said on Saturday. On Friday, according to him, the officials met the man on the way home in the car – probably to visit his children. On Thursday he handed in his driver's license to the police station in the Haspe district. It was unclear why his driver's license was revoked.

As the police further announced, due to various physical abnormalities, it was suspected that the man was under the influence of drugs. A corresponding drug test was therefore positive. The 37-year-old is now facing a criminal complaint for driving under the influence of drugs and without a driver's license.
