Dortmund (dpa / lnw) - On the run from the police, a man in Dortmund wanted to hide in the driveway of the police station of all places. The 20-year-old drove an e-scooter through a red traffic light on Sunday night. A police patrol watched him and started chasing him with flashing lights.
After about 100 meters, the 20-year-old then sought protection in a driveway. Unfortunately for him, it was the entrance to the police station. By the time he realized his mishap it was too late and he was trapped. For an alcohol test, the 20-year-old was then "taken to the station at the shortest possible distance", the police said.
