Essen (dpa / lnw) - Changeable weather awaits people in North Rhine-Westphalia at the weekend. Thursday will be cloudy and windy, with stormy gusts expected especially in the Eifel, according to the German Weather Service (DWD). Rain is possible at times, and brief thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon. The temperatures are at a maximum of 11 to 14 degrees, in the high altitudes at 7 to 11 degrees. Friday night will remain cloudy and rainy with low temperatures of 9 to 6 degrees.

According to the DWD, Friday should also be cloudy and rainy. There may be some showers, especially in the east. As on the previous day, the maximum temperatures are between 6 degrees on the Weser and in the higher mountains and 11 degrees west of the Rhine. This mix of clouds and rain will continue on Saturday and Sunday. However, the maximum temperatures drop slightly to up to 7 degrees.
