North Rhine-Westphalia: More building permits for apartments in the first half of the year

Düsseldorf (dpa/lnw) - In the first six months of this year, more building permits were issued in North Rhine-Westphalia than in the same period last year. According to the State Statistical Office on Friday, there were a total of 31,484 and thus 2.8 percent more. The vast majority of apartments, 26,923, are to be built in new buildings. The statisticians determined the highest increase for the administrative district of Düsseldorf, followed by Arnsberg and Cologne. The administrative districts of Münster and Detmold are recording declines.
