Essen (dpa / lnw) - In the coming days, the weather in North Rhine-Westphalia will continue to change with increasing showers. Tuesday will begin with a sunny start, as the German Weather Service (DW) announced in Essen in the morning. During the course of the day clouds will gather, there may be occasional showers in the mountains. However, it will remain dry with highs of between 27 and 31 degrees.

According to the DWD meteorologists, the clouds thicken on Wednesday night, and showers are possible in the morning, especially west of the Rhine. There may also be occasional thunderstorms with heavy rain. Rainfall of up to 15 liters per square meter can then fall locally in one hour. The temperatures drop to 17 to 13 degrees.

The weather service expects a mix of clouds and showers for Wednesday. In addition, isolated, sometimes strong thunderstorms with heavy rain and stormy gusts are possible. Temperatures reach 26 to 31 degrees.

With highs of up to 27 degrees, there should be prolonged rain on Thursday. Sometimes this can also be intensified by thunderstorms.
