North Rhine-Westphalia: mother suffocates: the trial against the son begins

Duisburg (dpa / lnw) - The trial of the cruel death of an 88-year-old woman from Oberhausen begins today at the Duisburg district court. Her son is accused. The 53-year-old German is said to have hit his mother in the face on the night of December 3, 2021 after an argument and then knelt on her. This is said to have crushed the chest. According to the indictment, the elderly woman suffocated and suffered a ruptured liver. The charge is manslaughter. The court has scheduled five days of hearings through September 22 for the trial.
