North Rhine-Westphalia: Motorcyclist crashes and dies in the hospital

Balve (dpa / lnw) - A 53-year-old man left the road on his motorcycle in the Märkisch district and died in an accident. The accident happened on Saturday afternoon in a left turn near the airfield in the small town of Balve, the police said in the evening. The motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in the fall. A rescue helicopter flew him to a clinic, where he succumbed to his injuries a little later. The police are now investigating why the man died.
