The location and water quality of the lakes are indicated on the IT.NRW state statistics office, as the authority announced on Monday in Düsseldorf. Most people in the federal state would need a maximum of 20 minutes by car from their home to get to the nearest lake, whether it be a reservoir, quarry pond or another type. Most of the routes are also easy to do by bike. According to the information, the lakes in NRW have a total area of ​​20,023 hectares.
