North Rhine-Westphalia: No more long detours at Münster main station

Münster (dpa / lnw) - The main station in Münster can be used again without restrictions since Friday. The year-long closure on the east side has been lifted. There, an investor claims to have built a multi-part building with retail, gastronomy, hotel and bicycle parking garage with more than 2000 parking spaces. During this time, the east exit of the main station had to be closed. For commuters and travelers this meant a detour of sometimes five to ten minutes for almost six years. According to Deutsche Bahn, the station is used by around 70,000 people a day.
