North Rhine-Westphalia: Nursing service saves the elderly from the wrong son-in-law

Oberhausen (dpa / lnw) - The employee of a nursing service saved an 85-year-old from giving a fraudster 20,000 euros. The 28-year-old came to the apartment in Oberhausen on Tuesday afternoon and noticed that the elderly woman was excitedly phoning, the police said on Wednesday. After the phone call, the 85-year-old said her son-in-law was in trouble and urgently needed 20,000 euros. The nursing staff became suspicious and alerted the police. The officials then made sure that the woman brought her money back to the bank.
