North Rhine-Westphalia: Police find marijuana plants in a secret cellar

Alfter (dpa / lnw) - Police officers have discovered two secret entrances to cellars with cannabis plants in a house in Alfter in the Rhein-Sieg district. As the Bonn police announced on Wednesday, officials had searched the house of a suspect. They found, among other things, 1.2 kilos of marijuana, around 400 grams of amphetamines and 5,000 euros, which are believed to have come from drug deals. Under a bed and under a carpet, they then discovered entrances to basement rooms in which a total of 70 marijuana plants were growing. Two suspects, aged 38 and 45, who were in the house, are now being investigated.
